As Featured in CanvasRebel: Meet Mystiqua Kimble

Oct 7, 2026 · @Mystiqua Trinette

I have some exciting news to share with you. I was recently featured in CanvasRebel, a magazine that spotlights creatives, artists, and entrepreneurs, in an interview titled “Meet Mystiqua Kimble.”

I’ve been creating content for more than 18 years, starting as a blogger long before Reels and captions. So being invited to share my story, in long form, felt like a full-circle moment. It’s the same reason I came back to blogging: some stories deserve more room than a caption can give them.

A Few Highlights From the Interview

In the interview, I opened up about how this brand began, the pivot I’m most proud of, and a lesson I’m still unlearning. Here are a few moments I loved sharing.

On how it all started

About six years ago, a routine wellness visit turned into a wake-up call. I had been pouring into everyone and everything around me while completely neglecting myself. So I rested, and then slowly started choosing myself again. Getting dressed with intention. A simple skincare routine, built layer by layer.

“That’s where Mystiqua Trinette was born. Not in a business plan. In a daily act of choosing myself.”

On starting in this season of life

People sometimes ask if I wish I’d started sooner. My answer is no. This is something that could only be built from exactly where I am.

“I didn’t start late. I started exactly on time.”

On the work I’m proudest of

It isn’t a brand deal or a follower count. It’s the women who message me to say they started getting dressed again. That they lit a candle for themselves. That they bought the good tea.

“That she remembered herself. That is the work I am here to do.”

On the lesson I had to unlearn

“The lesson I had to unlearn was that visibility equals value.”

For a long time, I measured my work by my follower count. But brands like Lancôme, Givenchy, and L’Oréal were choosing my content and putting advertising dollars behind it. The work was speaking louder than the metrics. I just had to open my eyes and see it.

Why This Feature Means So Much at 50

When I gave this interview, I was 49 and counting down to 50. Now I’m on the other side of that birthday, and every word feels even more true. My season for being seen hasn’t passed. It’s just beginning, and it looks more like me than I ever expected.

At 50, I’m not chasing a new version of myself. I’m refining the woman I already am, and sharing that process openly so other women over 40 know their next chapter can be their most beautiful one too.

What’s Next

This is only the beginning. Here on the blog, I’m sharing my Fall Refinement series, my style and skincare routines, and the everyday details of a refined life. And every Monday, my newest post goes out to the Refinement Community by email.

If you’re new here because of the interview, welcome. I’m so glad you found your way to this little corner of the internet.
